Shireen has enjoyed a long and successful career in both the public and private sectors (IT, financial, chemical and transport). She is highly experienced in funding applications, human capital management, stakeholder engagement and general management with oversight of internal audit, knowledge management, governance, risk and compliance.

She has a keen interest in transforming organisations, problem-solving, realising value from analytics and the building of efficiencies in processes.

Shireen holds a BA from the University of Natal and a MBA from the University of Pretoria.

Shireen has worked alongside Mr Alec Erwin in the Department of Public Enterprises and understands the nuance of delivering large scale projects throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. She has a deep understanding of current policy with respect to Government’s policy framework for enhancing trade and development within the region.

Shireen held a position as a director at ECS Associates from April 2021 until being promoted to Chairperson of ECS in April 2023.
